Chinese Ex-product certification

In China, all products that are to be used in hazardous areas must be certified to the Chinese National Ex-standards according to Chinese laws and regulations.
Current Chinese Ex-Standards
Chinese Ex-standards are mandatory standards. They are mostly identical or equivalent to IEC/EN standards.

For non-electrical equipment (gas/dust):
Non-electrical equipment cannot be certified for CCC Ex, only for Chinese Ex.
How to obtain CCC Ex certificates
Through CNEX-Global B.V., manufacturers can obtain the mandatory CCC Ex product certificates issued by CNEx, Nanyang, China.
There are three options for obtaining the CCC Ex product certificate:
Option 1
If your product has already been certified and has obtained an IECEx CoC and IECEx QAR, please provide the following documents:
- IECEx CoC
- IECEx ExTR Cover Sheet
- IECEx QAR (the latest full QAR audit report must be submitted)
- Drawings listed in IECEx ExTR Cover Sheet
- User manual/instructions
- Completed and signed aplication form (from CNEX-Global B.V. and CNEx, see downloads)
Option 2
If your product has been certified and obtained an ATEX EC-Type Examination Certificate which was issued by Notified Body, please provide the following documents:
- The ATEX EC-Type Examination certificate
- Test report
- Drawings listed in the ATEX EC-Type Examination Certificate
- User manual/instructions
- Completed and signed aplication form (from CNEX-Global B.V. and CNEx, see downloads)
Option 3
You can apply directly for a CCC Ex certificate for your products intended for the Chinese market.
Please provide the following documents:
- Drawings outlining all relevant Ex aspects of the construction of the product
- User manual/instructions
- Product specifications
- Completed and signed aplication form (from CNEX-Global B.V. and CNEx, see downloads)
Whatever approach is used, through the application for the CCC Ex Product Certificate at CNEX-Global B.V., both CNEX-Global B.V. and CNEx will combine their strengths to ensure that the client gets the most effective route to having their product(s) certified for the Chinese market.
